I am a 37yr.old female. I have high blood pressure and recently started my fifth med(norvasc), it's my fifth b/c I don't do so well with medication. Recently I also got a really bad virus and ended up in bed for 3wks which ended with a 24hr hospital stay and iv antibiotics and iv steroids. About 3wks after this I've developed this terrible pain in my left leg. I've had the pain for 2wks now and it's getting worse especially when I'm up and moving around. It starts behind the knee but radiates up my thigh and down to my ankle. I have no swelling. Does DVT always include swelling? I haven't been to the dr.yet because I have no insurance and money is very tight.
