I was wondering what tests are available to check for a possible PE after DVT. I was diagnosed with DVT behind my left knee almost 8 weeks ago. Since the diagnosis, I have suffered from nearly constant anxiety about a possible PE. I did have a CT scan about 2 weeks after my diagnosis and my lungs were clear at that time. I have occasional tightness/mild pain in my chest and I find myself out of breath after walking short distances. I also have had an on and off cough for the past 3 weeks. I know that I am most likely just being paranoid, but I can't help but worry that these could be symptoms of PE. I don't want to have another CT scan just because of anxiety, so is there a less complicated/invasive way of testing for PE? I have read something about a D-dimer test, but don't know much about it. I really appreciate your advice and input!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
