I got to stop warfarin treatment in September (YAY!) after a follow-up ultra-sound showed the deep clot was gone from my calf and just minimal chronic superficial thrombosis. I went to California to visit my daughter and was so freaked out by aches and pains in my dvt leg that I immediately got another ultrasound when I got home, which revealed no clot. Still.........I have to go to Parent's Weekend, on the OTHER side of the country in Boston, this weekend. I have leftover Lovenox syringes.(Duh -- you can't exactly get rid of them!) Does anyone know if it would it be harmful for any reason for me to give myself an injection before I get on the plane? If only for my own peace of mind? Thanks!! (Oh, no clotting disorders -- dvt chalked up to bcp, meniscal injury, varicose veins.)

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
