I was diagnosed with an ovarian vein blood clot about 10 days ago. I cannot find any information on my condition. My condition is idiopathic and apparently quite uncommon. I am looking for others who may have had this condition to help me answer some questions. Some of my questions are: 1. Since the treatment is to thin my blood and allow the clot to form a fibrous casing, will my emotions continue to peak and crash? 2. When can I expect the pain to be gone? 3. What would the long term affects of having this fibrous casing on my ovary? 4. Is cancer testing recommended and what type should I get? (My father very recently passed away from complications of his cancer so this is pretty touchy for my family). 5. Is pain in other areas normal (leg, shoulder)? I have had extensive DT Scans to make sure it has not spread. I am wondering if long term it would be better to have undergone surgery rather than medicinal treatment (Coumadin and Lovenox) My doctor is wonderful, however, there isn't much long term information available. Thank you so much!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
