My doctor is out of town until Tuesday. He does not have an answering service and will not be checking messages until the office opens at 9:00 on Tuesday. On Friday his nurse left a message on my cell phone telling me my new Warfarin should be at 12.5 mgs 1 per day. I picked up my prescription on Friday and it is for 2.5 mgs 1 per day. The pharmacist cannot change the amount without my doctor's okay and asked if I fully understood what the doctor said. I have the message from the doctor's nurse on my cell phone for 12.5 mgs. However, this nurse has made mistakes in my other paper work and did not reveal to me my INR level. (see journal entry for full convoluted story). I have two 10 mgs pills left and 30 2.5 mg pills. There is no way to reach the doctor until after the long weekend. I took a 10 mg. pill on Friday. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
