My doctors (both my hematologist and OBGyn) are pushing an IUD called Mirena VERY HARD. Because I'm still being treated for the clots in my left leg, they say to be very careful about birth control b/c of the dangers of getting pregnant. Being that I just had a preemie in August and nearly lost both of our lives, I have no plans to get pregnant again right away anyway. I have done some research on Mirena and some of the possible side effects are scary (like it dislodging and implanting somewhere like the bladder). Does anyone have any Mirena experience or know anyone who either hates it or loves it? I know there are only a couple of BC options, and this one seems to be favored most by the docs. They say it also helps make your periods a lot lighter (or even non-existent) while on coumadin.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
