hey everyone- hope this finds you all well...or at least on your way there. my question for you is this: how possible do you think it would be to get a dvt 3 months post PE? just an hour a go i started to feel the most intense pain in my leg...from right about my knee, all the way down to the end of my toes. it feels really crampy, swollen (it doesnt look very swollen) and inside my leg, like intra-muscular, it feels hot...but the leg itself doesnt. i know the last 2 wks i have not been 100 percent perfect with taking my coumadin (i might have skipped 2 days) and somewhat altered the dosages because about 4 days a go i started bruising all over my body, very randomly. inr was 2.26 last wed, so im technically therapeutic...just wondering what this sounds like, if it even sounds like a dvt, how dangerous could it be that i was able to get another clot even with 3 months of coumadin, and should i get this checked stat? any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
kate.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
With that said, be careful adjusting your dose. I spit up some blood one night and assumed my INR was too high. I skipped a dose and when I got checked a few days later it was down to 1.7! SO be careful.
