My husband had DVT in his right leg in June and it went to this lung causing an embullism. Thank God it was taken care of. Since then he's been in and out of the hospital 3x. He had a test run yesterday (by a vascular surgeon) and the test came back saying that the clot is still there. He has also been running temperatures for about 2 weeks now. Does anyone know if this is related?

Hi, sorry to hear your husband is not feeling well. I've never read anything about fevers with DVT, unless the DVT was brought on by another illness or infection that's associated with fever too. Since his dx was in June, it sounds even more unlikely that fever would be related to his DVT, even if the clot still shows up on the ultrasound.

I'd get him in to see his primary doc if he's feeling unwell. You don't want to mess around with a flu bug on top of all he's been thru!

Thanks for replying LauraLu. We're still not sure why this is happening; although he was diagnosed last month (in the hospital) with cellutis. He was on antibiotics for 2 wks. and the fever went away. Now it's back and dr. won't prescribe anymore. We'll see what happens. How are you feeling these days?

I'm well thanks! - still struggling with a fluctuating INR, but I'm confident I'll get into range and stay there one of these days.

So the doc doesn't have any explanation for your husbands fever? He just put him thru a course of antibiotics and that's it? If he's got a virus of some sort, antibiotics won't work anyhow - just time and TLC. Maybe chicken soup too.

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
