I just want to let everyone know that my physical therapist has been helping me with problems I am having in my DVT leg and pelvic area. It's been 2 1/2 yrs of wearing compression stockings and doing lymphedema massage but still having lots of pain and swelling after exercise. With my therapists' help and cooperation from my health insurance I am now using (at home) a compression pump that covers my leg and lower body for 1 hour before bed. I can't say yet whether it will make a difference or not but after 2 weeks I can say that I am sleeping better due to less pain and cramping as I fall asleep. It's called the ProAct1. For info go to www.foretechmed.com My insurance calls the therapy durable goods which I had never considered but am very grateful to my PT because I couldn't afford anything else in addition to the expensive stockings and now I can do this at home instead of visiting her every week and I will eventually own this machine.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
