Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
I always had cold hands and feet before my clot, and that didn't change being on or off coumadin. Being mobile is hard, I know, but the more you move, the better your circulation and metabolism will be and will help with the chills. Might want to try some low-impact water aerobics?
I will add that I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism in the last few months, and my meds have whacked my thyroid back into place and I don't have cold extremities anymore.
