I have often wondered if my deafness had something to do with my agoraphobia, I slowly went deaf till about ten yrs ago then bam they TX me as legally deaf I am 56 so can talk well and sign but have a real time out in public, it is all work for me, I fight the door cause I know what is out there then when I do get there people wont look at me so I can read there lips don't matter how many times I tell them my Dr office is better equiped for spanish people than me! NO KIDDING they have a bi-lingual phone line, a Dr who speacks spanish, a spanish interpeter on floor at all times they have nothing for me they refuse to use deaf relay phone calls no one signs what am I to do and they dont have a T.T.D. either sound fair.
