Well, tomorrow is the big day. I have put together a presentation for my hubby to talk with him about getting a new puppy for me. My husband works out of town all week, and comes home on Fridays, so he will be here tomorrow evening.
Some of you may have read my thread about a psychiatric service dog. I have decided not to go that route, but just get a companion dog that is a good breed for people with PTSD, anxiety, and the like. Through much research, I have decided on a Goldendoodle. There is a reputable breeder in my area that raises all their puppies in their house. No out door cages, which is very important to me.
Of course these dogs are not free. That is the tough part with my husband. He has a good job now, but was without work for 7 months last year, so he my be a bit skiddish. He does love dogs though.
I talked with my therapist today, and he thinks training and taking care of a dog would be so good for me. I am disabled with fibromyalgia and depression/anxiety, so I am home alone all day, every day. I am able to take walks with a dog though. We have had a Springer Spaniel and a Beagle in the past.
Thanks for reading this far. Say a prayer if you think of it.
Good morning:-)***Virginia has repealed a law dating back to 1792 that forbade profane (cursing) language in public. I guess they figured out that it's a lost cause, b/c by definition in th e1792 law, everyone has to be in jail...Ontario, Canada has re-designed its license platre. Problem? At night, the actual letters/numbers can't be read! Which makes you wonder just who re-designed that...
Well, here are a few cute image memes to help your Tuesday. I have to go in to have blood drawn, which will lead to the doctor yelling at me next week (or so I fear) b/c my iron is a little low. Yes, well, I have nasty GERD since 1978. Iron supplements are notorious for ripping up GI systems. Mine's already torn up, thanks. And, yes, I eat well, but I'm ... ahem... that "special age" for women....
