Shortly after my dog, a Rottweiler, had been taken by someone, my daughter and i went to the SPCA "just to look". I told my daughter before we left, "now, seriously, we are not going to get a dog today - dogs at the SPCA cost $125, which I don't have today - and they don't have sales at the SPCA". Much to my surprise, it was Half off all big dogs. There was an overload of dogs to a hurricane in Houston. My daughter went to a dog run where we saw a dog running back and forth, barking at us, telling us everything he had been through. My daughter ran to the dog run, we went inside, where the dog continued to tell us his woes. She begged to get him. I had never seen a catahoula before. The dog was a black and grey merle dog with blue eyes and the biggest nose on a dog I've ever seen. I wasn't sure if he was the cutest dog I'd ever seen or the ugliest.......but he definitely had us sold. I was still short a little on the cash, but my daughter (12 at the time) had her allowance - so together we got Blue. I love this dog. We struggle as to who the Alpha dog is - he is certain that it is him - and i'm not sure who is.....I do know that he lets me play like I am the alpha dog.....but he is moody ...and in his dog obedience classes - he will play like I am the boss for awhile.....but after 30 to 40 minutes....he looks at me like, "why are we doing this? I'm tired of playing like you are the boss in front of all these people."

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
