I just wanted to give input regarding the newsfeed, if it has not already been said by someone else:
The posts in the newsfeed give no information about which support group they were posted in or if they are a journal post by a friend. I have tried to solve the confusion for myself by limiting myself to only two groups, but it doesn't really help. (Further, if you go into a post, the OP's avatar disappears.)
Something else that's missing is notification if a friend has commented on their own journal. I have to just keep it in mind and remember to check. The old DS would give an entry in for each action that a friend had done; e.g., commented on a post in a support group, made a journal entry, commented on that journal entry, commented on someone else's journal entry, etc. Now, I must go to the friend's profile and sort through a laundry list which is not well labeled at all. It's kind of exhausting and I forget people that I wanted to follow up on.
Is there any hope of getting these settings changed for the better?
Year to Date Championship Week are posted in the first reply. Good luck in the Superbowl and Congratulations to the Patriots and their fans here and to the Rams.
Hi. I live in Toronto, and I'm having a hard time meeting anyone that I want around me. I've tried A.A. for many years. Perhaps 20 or so. It's a great program for many people, but I couldn't hack it. I just heard to much bullshit, gossiping and other crap when people get together and I felt very alone. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for A.A, to get sober, it's just the nonsense that got to me....
