Hi everyone. Well after almost two years of treating the symtoms my dr finally figured out that I may have Cushings. He sent me to a Physician and they did all the blood tests, urine tests and a CT scan and confirmed this week that I have a 4cm tumour in my right adrenal gland. Im scheduled to have a laporoscopic adrenalectomy on the 25th to remove the adrenal gland. I have most of the physical symtoms like the buffalo hump, red face, hot flushes, skin infections, stretch marks, impotence, tiredness but luckily I dont really experience the depression or anxiety attacks. Oh and I have developed high BP and diabetes. I have the best surgeon in the country (South Africa) doing my operation and he has told me that the recovery after surgery is phenominal and very quick. Within a month I will feel like a new person but thats not what Im hearing here. Seems people that have cushings disease take a lot longer to recover. He has even told me that my BP and sugar levels may even return to normal after some time. Is he lying to me?
