Are any members vegetarians or vegans? I had been vegetarian for a while with a fairly recent switch to veganism and had been doing okay with the diet. However, I've been doing some research and have heard mention that soy products should be eliminated from my diet. Since I am in a mildly painful (and extremely inconvenient) relapse right now, I'm wondering if it could be all the soy I consume (primarily in the form of soy milk and tofu). Although I try to limit my soy consumption (switching to almond milk when possible, etc), I still probably consume more than the average human.
Does anyone have any non-meat, non-soy-based replacement suggestions? I'm beginning to feel like I'm running out of things to eat.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Although I am glad you offered me your advice, my question is not related to whether or not my veganism is good for me (this I have determined already with the aid of my doctor, research and personal experience) but in what ways I can get supplement my diet with proteins other than soy.
As far as the Soy goes, I would not be surprised if it is causing the "flair"
good luck
Guess I'll hit the store and stock up on the almond milk...
