O.K., I know this has been discussed before so I am sorry for being redundant.
I met with my GI yesterday and with my usual Asacol (1600 mg) and after three months of Imuran (150mg)now added on, my bowels are doing great.
I told him the only problems that I am still having is the arthritis in my neck, shoulders, back and fingers and some minor skin problems.
He put me on Celebrex which I have heard both sides as to whether someone with UC should take Celebrex. I think it is a risk reward kind of thing but I was just curious what you guys think.
I know about the warnings about the heart, but I am interested in the gut mainly.
Thanks

I have Crohn's Colitis and I took Celebrex for 5 days, then I broke out in hives so I had to stop. I wish you the best.
