We just learned my husband is pretty sure going to need surgery for his Crohn's. Also we now know he has very severe disease and that surgery will not help him completely. They will take out the worst parts of the small bowel and hope for the best...I am very scared for him and of course he is very scared as well. My question is what are we to expect after surgery? How do his eating and bathroom habits become affected? How long does it take to be able to do normal things again? Right now he can't even go to the store without being in severe pain from walking and stays in bed for most the day.
