hello. this is my first entry so please bear w/ me. i have a sister, 37 yo, that is very sick in the u.k. with u/c. where do i begin?? she has been dealing with rectal bleeding since october with no official diagnosis until about a month ago. she was given acetol which worked, but then the doctor told her to stop - the bleeding started again. she then progressed to severe stomach cramps and had to be hospitalized. they sent her home with tramadol which made her gravely ill, which took them a few weeks to figure out. she now is in hospital (since 7/5) with an enlarged bowel taking big doses of steroids. she had to be given blood because of chemical imbalances. she has no strength whatsoever (can't even pull herself off the toilet) and doesn't seem to be getting better. my poor mom is frantic looking for answers. how long until she starts to recover? i appreciate any words of wisdom you can provide.
