Relief from eating basil?

deleted_user
Has anyone else found some relief from eating extra basil? I just starting putting it in my soups and things and it has actually helped to calm everything down. Just wondered if anyone else had the same experience.

Basil is good in moderation according to my research but, don't overuse it as it can cause burning! Parsley, fresh ground ginger, dandelion tea or mint are good too!

I tried peppermint tea and it helped me out.

I have a problem with ginger, it tends to burn, and the fresh ground stuff is just a bit too painful. (I love ginger tho!). Peppermint tea works well. I'll try the basil - just bought myself a pot of it so will post again if it seems to help at all.

Ok, have been trying the basil thing, and haven't really noticed much improvement, but also no bad effects either. A friend of mine who has Crohn's was telling me yesterday that she fangs into a heap of Dill when she's feeling bad. Apparently dill is a natural anti-inflammatory. Might try that too :-)
