Diagnosed with crohn's 12 years ago. I had bowel resection surgery a year ago. They removed almost all of my colon and 1 1/2 feet of my small bowel. I'm still having lots of diarrhea. I've done some research and it seems my problem is fat malabsorption (had my gallbladder removed 15 yrs. ago) My BM's are mostly water and on times, it's just yellow liquid that burns. Many have suggested Questran and my GI prescribed it for me last week. I'm supposed to take it twice a day however, I decided to start with once a day. I'm glad I did because I'm experiencing a lot of bloating and gas pain. I still have diarrhea but am told that it will take a few weeks maybe for the meds to work. Anyone else taking Questran? How long did it take to work? What side affects did you experience? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
