Hi! My husband suffered from Ulcerative Colitis for over 18 years. With the past 1.5 years, he had an ileostomy, and three months later, the ileostomy was closed, and j-pouch was placed as a substitute for the large colon which was removed. For the past few weeks, he has had a painful flare up; he takes the recommended fiber amount, supplements, and probiotics, but lately nothing seem to work. He is very uncomfortable. Does anyone else have a similar story? If so, does anyone have an advice that may be useful? Thank you.
