Hey you guys ... I hope this is encouraging and not a downer for you all. My best friend had my husband and me and another couple for dinner tonight and I actually had a great time!!! Took my regular Asacol during the day and had a Pepto Bismol chewable in the morning and another one before I went out. I actually had a couple of drinks and ate food and only went to the bathroom four times between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.!!!! Might pay big time tomorrow, but it was worth it so far. It was soooooooooo awesome to socialize with good friends for the first time in months. Hoping this is the start of some kind of remission or something; don't really know what to expect, as I'm still new at this UC thing. I'm praying that all of you have some kind of fun and not just pain and isolation. I was volunteering for cancer before ... now I'm going to switch to volunteering for Crohn's and UC whenever I'm well enough to get out. You're all in my heart.
