Has anyone tried Humira? I've been on Predisone and MP6 and that hasn't done anything.

I have a very long history of CD and have been through every treatment they create, including every drug trial my GAstro can find. I went for the Humira in Sept. 2006 and was denied because the FDA hadn't approved it for CD. I needed surgery or a miracle. The FDA approved on Feb 28, I took delivery Mar 3rd and and by Mar 10th, I knew I had something I had never had before relief... Abbott's patient assistance program helps me with cost, but truthfully, I would go into debt to feel this good. Highly recommended..

I am on Prednisone and 6-MP as well and went into a flair back in April. I decided to try Remicade. I had 3 doses and it make me SO SICK. Violent vomiting off and on. By the time I was feeling better, it was time for my next treatment! I'm quitting the Remicade and am thinking about trying Humira too.

My husband started Humira about 4 weeks ago, and experienced the same thing as chehardy7 - really good at first, no flares for 3 weeks, then all of a sudden big flare with week-long hospital stay. He too has tried many medications, and they are looking at surgery. I don't want to sound so negative - I have heard wonderful things about Humira from many people. Best of luck to you! :)

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
