So I was doing some research for work and happened on a study about curcumin and ulcerative colitis. Curcumin is the substance that gives turmeric that yellow/orange color. Apparently it has anti-inflammatory properties.
This study had people take 1 gram of curcumin after breakfast and 1 after dinner and it helped those taking it stay in remission. Here's the link: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FDN/is_1_12/ai_n19170706
Has anyone tried curcumin supplements?

My husband took tumeric for a while. He couldn't really tell if it helped or not. It is definitely worth a try. He didn't have any side effects or anything from it. It was a pill supplement and pretty easy to take.

Hiya, so I have Crohn's Disease (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), and for s few years I had problems eating and drinking at cafes, or restaurants, or just with people around. It kinda stemmed from a reaction I had to some food at a restaurant when eating out with colleagues. I got past that and was ok for the last 18 months, and Boom! It's happened twice now, in cafes just chatting with friends over...
