I'm sure this subject intrigued some of you to look, well that's good I want to get other's viewpoint about this.
I have had Crohn's for 25 years, and haven't been on any type of drugs for this for 16+ years, with the exception of Remicade 1-1/2 years ago and various other drugs. I have CONSIDERABLE scaring in my ileum and the first 4" of my small intestine. I have pain constantly, and I take pain pills to control it. I don't have a lot of confidance in doctors, I get the impression they think they know it all and they SO don't.
I was wondering.... I'm starting Humira today which you all know is an immune suppresant. Which of course can cause a whole host of other problems, do you think I should have the surgery first (and remove the scarred tissue) so that I have a fighting chance, or just see if this works?
When I was younger, I didn't have access to pain pills and would just throw everything up, I almost died of malnutrition. Although not the greatest way to go, I can at least eat. It doesn't make sense to me that Humira will help where the scaring is, and therefore I will still have pain.... what do you think?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
