I'm not sure what is wrong with me and the more I read on Dr. Google the more concerned I am that I have UC or Crohn's. Here's some background info..
I am a healthy 28 year old female. This past Sunday night I was awakened with horrible cramps and had very bad dirreah most of the night. Finally when it seemed there was nothing left in me, I noticed blood in the toliet bowl and had 3-4 bloody dirreah epsisodes after that. I was concerned and called my primary care doc. She did a rectal exam and a stool sample that was positive for blood. This was on Tuesday. Since then I have not had any more dirreah but have had traces of blood in my BMs. My doc said to wait 7-10 days and do 3 stool samples. I'm then to bring in the stool sample kits and they will test it for blood. If they are positive for blood, she is ordering a colonoscopy.
I know the symptoms of UC are usually bloody dirreah and that's why I'm concerned. Now that things are slowing down, though, I'm also considering that it may be food poisoning. I'm still eating lightly, mainly following the BRAT diet, just to give my body a rest.
I should also mention that I have a grandfather with Crohn's and my dad was recently diagnosed with Colon cancer, hence the reason I freaked out when I saw blood in the toliet bowl.
Any input that any of have would be greatly appreciated!

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
