I just had my last flare in August. Spent 8 days in the hospital. (ALL my flares land me in the hospital for 1-2 weeks.) I think another is starting. I am having my telltale bloating and abdominal agony. You can see all my meds in my profile...I'm on a lot.
I have increased my Pentasa to my hospital dose, have stopped eating solid food and am taking my pain meds.
Is there anything I can do to stop a flare once it starts?
We're in a position right now that we don't have anyone to watch our kids and get our daughter to school if I am in the hospital, so I have to do whatever I can to stay at home.

I would check things out with your dr. Sometimes we can make things worse and not realize it.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
