I am new to this site and can I just say it's awesome to be able to contact others with my situation. My question or trouble for everyone is that after being diagnosed back in 2005 with CD I was put on both Pentasa and Entocort. I was eventually taken off of the Entocort and left on the Pentasa. I have said for years that my body doesn't really react to just the Pentasa and here is where my problems come into play. For the past several months I have been dealing with horrible constipation and bloating. I am bloated all of the time and while I am still able to pass bowel it's never a lot, therefore I ended up feeling constipated. I have been seeing my Doctor and the only thing he has done differently for me is to put me on Prednisone which works wonders, however as we all know it is not a maintence drug and I was eventually taken off of it. Unfortunately all of my symptoms came right back and now he is insisting on putting me on Remicade. I have heard so many bad things about this drug and I feel that my Doctor hasn't tried enough other medications before what I feel is the last resort with the remicade. Does anyone have any suggestions about medications or vitamins that I could take that might releave my bloating and constipation?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
