Coronary Heart Disease Support Group
Coronary heart disease is the end result of the accumulation of plaques within the walls of the arteries. While the symptoms and signs of coronary heart disease are noticable in the advanced state of disease, most with coronary heart disease show no evidence of disease for decades as the disease progresses before the first onset of symptoms, often a "sudden" heart attack,...
Be more concerned prob if within chest...
Definitely get it checked out.
Good luck
I have left upper chest pain and heart disease does run in my family.
I'm having tests done on Dec. 10th for heart disease, aneurysm, circulation, plaque in arteries and blood protein. You can have that done through
http://www.lifelinescreening.com
and for around $200 you get your results...some, right there on the spot, there is a cardiologist that does these tests for you in your community...and some, you'll need to wait to get results back for about 2 weeks.
I've been doing this yearly, but have only done the carotid stroke screening. I'm 47, a bit over weight (that's decreasing, thank God!), I stay away from all fatty foods, am a health food person and each year, I get "moderate" plaque blockage on my left side of my neck. The right side is "mild".
I am also big breasted. I'm a 38D and I'm not sure if the chest pains from the upper chest is from the soreness in my breast muscle and stress.
But, either way, I'm going to have it all checked out, so that I feel better about knowing what it is.
Good luck, honey and I hope that helps you out.
You know, alot of things we worry about don't happen, but it's always really good to check it out just to be on the safe side.
So my opinion is if the pain is under the breast you should see the doctor or go to ER. If it is in the breast be sure and tell your family doctor and he my want you to have a mamogram done.
Hugs and good luck to you.
