I was concerned. I brought it to the doctors
attention and he just laughed. Funny, but
I do not find it a laughing matter. Our body
parts tell the stoy of what is going on inside
of us. A sudden change, does signal something.
All my fingernails have rigdes on the now-up
down like the length of my finger. Naturopathic books point to different causes
for this. I am still not sure what it wrong;
but I am certain that the fingernail change
has meaning. This is my one big gripe about
Western medicine; they ignore age old wisdom.
I know I've always had these, but who knows it could be one of the indications that there is a lung problem.
If the've only just appeared on your nails I would ask the doc - it may be medication is causing it and possibly this could be corrected.
It's interesting cos I've just done a web search and respiratory and digestive disorders could be an indication if vertical ridges on nail also arthritis and an inadequacy in diet.
It seems that these ridges do indicate health problems so I would perhaps go see the doc.
I would ask your doctor if it bothers you.
I also read there could be many meanings including normal ageing.
Love to all,

I am working at doing better and it will be interesting if I ever get good at taking my Bs..to see if the ridges quit appearing as my new nail grows out.
