I was diagnosed with asthma about a month ago with sob, chest tightness feeling terrible after the flu. I am better on the medications and less shortness of breath but still get breathless, and have chest tightness. I am scared I have emphysema. I am 29, smoked for 13 years lightly but quit two years ago. I had a CT scan and they didn't say anything about emphysema, said it was fine. Can I still have it possibly even after quitting? Can emphysema arise later or is it more you smoke and then get damage, and the damage stops after you quit? Sorry a little confused about this, new to all of it.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
