E-Cigarettes

Is anyone on here 'smoking' E-Cigarettes? While volunteering for the Veterans, I met a lady who was "Smoking" them...sure looked real..lit up the end when she puffed and she exhaled what looked like smoke.

She said she had used them to quit smoking and went gradually from nicotime max to no nicotine. I asked her how long she has been 'smoking' them with zero nicotine...she said "one year"...I asked her then why she didn't just quit.....she said she enjoys the experience more than the smoke and nicotine....

I quit smoking over one year ago upon COPD diagnosis and told my wife I don't at all miss the smoke, burnt clothes and seats, smell....but at times, I do miss the "act" of smoking...especially at times like when at a casino (which is rare) and playing my video poker machines...part of the enjoyment was the "act" of smoking while playing and, without that, I don't seem to enjoy the casino trips anymore....and I use to love them.

But....I don't know anything about the E-Cigs with zero nicotine...anyone have any experience or advice about them? In case you were wondering, no, I will never smoke real cigs again. I LOVE being a non-smoker 90% of the time...stupid casinsos :)

Thanks in advance for listening to my stupid question/thoughts

Valmo

My friend's son-in-law is a doctor, he gave her one to give to me.
I tried it a few times, but wow was is strong.
Maybe there are others that aren't that strong.
It would give you the act back.

Go on the Smoking board there are several articles about the E-Cig. If you are trying to quit smoking, not a good idea.

I know myself well enough to know that if I tried them it wouldn't be long before I was smoking the real thing. I'm such a cigarette junkie. I quit smoking 3 years ago this month because I had to not because I wanted to. I would be smoking today if I could, but I know, 'I smoke - I die' and 'That's It'.

I'm with you Kyleenan- not sure if I ever tried them I wouldn't resume smoking for real... weird how strong that addiction is .
I have friends that use them but most still also split and use real smokes too.

OK, i'll fess up, I purchased the best model you could buy a few years ago, and, what a piece of shit....very good advertising, just like Hysmeton, but then, I'm a fool for anything that may just work...I think the e-cig is still plugged into a socket somewhere on one of my boats

Great info Jona...thanks a lot...I really appreciate it...

They sound like a great ripoff to me from what you and others have told me...only know one person and she is still using them after a year on the zero nicotine cartridges.

Let's see...folks quit because of breathing...they miss smoking...

Wait! I have an idea!

This will make us rich....when folks puff on the e-cig they are inhaling vapor made by a cartridge in the cig...

So....we put a touch of albuterol in it!!!!!!

Since I am 1/2 Lithuanian, I will call it a Lithuanian nebulizer!

I can see the money rolling in now!
