was recently admitted to the hospital for what a was first told was pnuemonia. my symtoms were flu like chills and fever diarihia. but what made me go to emergency room was chest pains. they ran many diff test that day but no problem eith the heart was found. but after a culture test of my phlegm and chest xrays two drs told me i had chronic bronchitis and emphysema or copd. was kind of in a daze after that. i did a lung function test this morn and will find out the results on friday. can someone please tell me if they need this test to be sure that i have copd. are they just confirming it or what. i have told my wife but we havent said anything to our kids yet. i feel like my world is falling apart and i am scared and apprensive about the future. anything anyone can tell me would be greatly appreciated paul
