My husband was admitted into ICU 11/8/18 from a bad asthma attack & stayed there for 11 days. They said he has COPD & sent him to rehab to get his strength back. After 7 days in rehab they told us he has end stage COPD & called in Hospice to bring him home. He didn't get out of the bed for several days but now he's wanting to go to the bathroom, so I help him with his walker. It really gives him out and he sleeps for hours after simply walking to the bathroom. Does this sound like anything anyone else has seen. One hospice nurse tells me not to get hime out of bed because it makes him so tired, yet another will tell me to let him do what he feels like he can do. I want to get him back to where he was although that wasn't so good, but it was much better than the death sentence they are giving him. I just can't give up on him, we've been married for 44 years and I would like to make it 65 years or more. Anyone that has been through this please respond. I am desperate for someone to talk to, that has been through this. My life these days is like a roller coaster. I get good news, and then bad news.
I'd love to reconnect with everyone but unfortunately it looks like most everyone has moved on to somewhere else? Are any of my old friends on this site?Sandy >^..^
