Sorry that I haven't been here in a while. I've been very ill with Bacterial Pneumonia. Just barely escaped going to the hospital, but I'm now on oxygen therapy and mega doses of antibotics. And now I also have thrush. My throat is so sore, and I'm on a medicated mouth wash for that! It's so dishearting because I was beginning to believe that my RA was going into remission again. I'm just now starting to be able to walk to the bathroom without stopping to catch my breath.
I caught the flu (even after having my shot!) from my husband. Even though I've told him that the flu for him is differant then the flu for me. I guess he knows now.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

The good thing about thrush (as if there is a good thing!) is that it is treatable with mouthwash. I, too, have had it when hospitalized and put on heavy doses of antibiotics. Doc told me the antibioltics not only kill the bad bacteria but the good as well. Mama Marg has given good advice!
Please do not expect too much from your body as it heal from pneumonia. It takes a long time to recover and at first do not be surprised that you feel weak and short of breath just going from one room to another. You should gain strength as time goes by.
I hope this finds you on the mend and feeling stronger.
