Hello folks. I have COPD that is being treated with Flovent 110. Recently I have been having excruiating back pains due to herniated discs. The pain is intolerable and has sidelined me 3 weeks at a time when it does flare up. I am thinking about approaching a pain medicine doc or even my orthopedic doc for high end pain meds like oxycontin or percocet. I havent talked to any docs yet but some of the information that i see online seems to indicate that some of these meds are not good for people with COPD. My Copd isnt very far along as i was just diagnosed a year ago. I was wondering if any of you nice people had any dealings with strong pain meds in the past for issues unrealted to COPD.What meds would you stay away from and what pain meds( if anything) can be prescribed for a person with COPD. Another thing I hear is that some people get addicted to the pain meds which is why some docs are leary to prescribe them in the first place. Any input you give me into this topic would be of great assistance to me . Thanks (PS I took antiflamtory drugs like Naproxen sodium before and also tylenol with codene and they dont work for my back pain at this point at all)

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
