I take 36 grams of IVIG every three weeks and my veins are wearing out. I am considering a port. My doctor says he usually leaves that decision up to the patient. This doesn't help me because I want to know if it's the right decision. Since I will always be having these treatments, is this a move in a positive direction? What is the good and the bad?
