I am a college student and until a few weeks ago she and I got along really well. I am an art student and at my school you have one advisor in the department who guides you through your degree process. The advisor then becomes both the teacher for some of your classes and your guide while you are in school. I haven't told her that I am a lesbian but I am worried that she found out and is now treating me differently for it. I am concerned because she has such an important role in my education and I don't want my academics to suffer for it. I don't know whether to call her on let it slide and request a new advisor. I don't want to create a major problem by asking but at the same time, if she doesn't know I don't want to start a whole new issue.
