I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm not religious but I know god didn't put "run around and yell at people who are gay" I swear they are so retarded-god is supposedly going to take care of his faithful and unfaithful in the apocolypse or even in their current day lives-if he actually cared enough about crap like that I'm sure he'd take care of it himself-not all religious people are bad-and some folks in general are just scared and need to be worked with-but it's the ones that say it's their particular religions way or go to hell and that's not fair-I have nothing against people and religions but there is a difference between spreading the word of god and forcing it downs someone's throat by any means neccessary including violence-people can be so disgusting.
Their website reminds me of the Heaven's Gate cult webpage.
well..sigh...see you all in hell. ha!
I must say, I visited this site and it made me enraged..I felt hostile, and YES Helperboi, I can understand how it would stir up feelings of bombing their house.
Do you see though how much 'good' that brings to people, though? Ya see, this kind of 'ministry' is not producing the kind of harmony Jesus would've wanted. To put it flat out, this is a ministry run by Satan and his angels. This is a ministry that spreads hate, not God's love.
Just to let ya know, all Christ followers / Christians do NOT carry this HATE attitude toward God's people. While I do agree that homosexuality is a sin (I am a same-sex struggler too), I know what Jesus did in the Bible and that was to reach out to people and not cause hostility and 'war' among people. Jesus' mission on earth was to step out and love the sinners in the world, build relationships with people so we'd know God's character and His love for all of us. Jesus didn't hold a sign that says God hates fags.
Let me tell you my friend, these people from this so-called 'ministry' will ALSO have to stand before the Lord some day after they die to try and explain what they have done to others -- and that is, cause more hate and more hostility in this world just like they did by 'stirring our emotions up' by wanting to bomb them.
May God have mercy on their souls too.
I'm sorry there are people like this in the world, helperboi.
God bless you, friend.

Les, while your words are intended to sound friendly I cannot let them pass here without challenge. You write of Phelps: "To put it flat out, this is a ministry run by Satan and his angels."
This is the same type of accusation he makes of us. Demonizing gets no one anywhere. It sounds no better and is no holier when it comes from "us" - whoever the "us" is defined to be.
I might further add that while I support your right to believe as you will and to follow whatever path regarding your sexuality you see fit I must also voice my vehement dissent about both the message that homosexuality is a sin and that Phelps & Co. will "get theirs" before the Lord.
As far as I am concerned the doctrines of hell and judgment have promoted some of the worst evils man has ever chosen to perpetrate upon himself... and I for one have had more than enough for one lifetime of the message that WHO I AM is a sin.
I joined the Anger Management community because of the RAGE I have over the damage those two beliefs have done to my life... for the YEARS of self-loathing I was made to endure while I believed those claims. I am especially outraged to see those views HERE, in the Coming Out community, where there are so many young people WHO DON'T HAVE TO ENDURE WHAT I DID as those two beliefs played out in my life.
I would protect them from Phelps if i could, but Les, I would want protect them from your religion too.
Hey friend, I'm not really sure who 'us' is either! ha ha.. anyway, I am in no position to judge. I just know that there is a real Satan in the spiritual realm and an Enemy that is out to steal, kill and destroy YOU (and me and rest of world). It says so in the Word.
I am assuming that the work, not the people, of this ministry has a correlation to the Enemy's agenda (i.e. to kill and destroy).
We don't fight against 'flesh' (meaning people) but against spiritual beings (meaning the Devil and his 'bad' angels).
Sure, Fiddler, everyone has a right to choose their lives and their eternal destiny.
I choose to believe what the Bible says, that's all.
The Scriptures say I probably won't make very many friends because I'm standing up for what it says.
I'm sorry you don't choose to believe what the Bible says. I do have faith in what it tells me. And, it is not always 'nice' or 'popular' to stand up for truth anymore.
I'm in no position to judge the people behind that ministry. As I said, 'they' will have to stand before God. They won't have their posters that preach HATE or their t-shirts with 'hating people' messages on them either. It will just be that ONE individual and God, like I will have to stand alone and be accountable for everything I did and didn't do on this earth.
Sorry I stirred up 'outraged' feelings from you, but I am a member of the Coming Out Community, and I believe I have a right [just as you do] to voice my thoughts/ opinions.
Thank you for responding to my posting. God bless you, Fiddler.
I do not want or need your pity or your explanations of God, judgment or conservative born-again Christianity. I have been there, done that and left it in order to save my sanity.
but i get a laugh out of the bible.
Many of the stuff that i see in it is the stupidest shit that i have ever did...(no offense...) I found this... its funny...
Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin.
Leviticus 18:22 clearly states homosexuality to be an abomination. End of debate. However, Leviticus also states situations that might not be moral in this current society.
In Example:
a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
d) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
e) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
f) Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
g) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die?
h) I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
i) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev.24:10-16). Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
So why stop at homosexuals, lets burn the poly-cotton blends and take Mexican slaves. Stone the Saturday office worker, ban football and haircuts. Or we could learn that times change. The bible was written two thousand years ago
and times do change.
But for my two cents, I also agree that giving this kind of attention is exactly what they want. I work with teenagers everyday and when they get into fights with each other I ask them two questions... 1) do you care what they think of you? 2) Then why do you get so upset?
By spewing their hate they actually help the GLBT community by showing how far out they are.
A number of organizations raise money by taking donations based on the number of picketers Phelps group sends to pickets or the number of minutes the picket lasts. They take a negative situation and turn it into a positive.
As misguided as these people are it is not wise to wish violence on these people. Hate will hurt you more than the person you direct it at.
