I DIDN'T WRITE THIS(Portia Johnson is the author) BUT I REALLY LIKED IT.
Autobiography in Five Short Chapters
1) I walk, down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost.....I am hopeless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
2) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
3) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in. ...it's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
4) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
5) I walk down another street.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
just like life "i can't believe another year has gone by"
i can promise you that if you are serious about your recovery and work it (almost) everyday, or at least have it on your mind, it does get this simple.
it really does.
not that things are always easy or the path is always clear, but if you stick to the recovery principles and love yourself, life gets better!!!!!
JUST FOR TODAY IT IS THIS SIMPLE.
heh.
