I'm not one to blame the media for how other people live there lives but I DO believe it has had an effect on mine. I have always been drawn to movies which depict drug addicts. I realize that the purpose of most of these movies is to keep people away from drugs since, most of the time, the protagonists die in the end. Nonetheless, drugs (particularly coke) always seemed "cool" and "glamorous" to me. I feel so stupid admitting that! Movies like "Trainspotting", "Gia", "Requiem for a Dream", and "Boogie Nights" are all great films in which the protagonist die or almost die in the end, but MAN do they look cool when they were on the up and up. I now work as a bartender in a major city and have morphed into a promiscuous, drunk, cokehead party girl. Just what I always dreamed of.
