Hep C (3),cirrhosis,diabetes.No ins. thru wk. I get Patience Assist.(100%) thru hosp. due to "not making enough $".Covers diabetes/office visits/hosp. stay if needed.Dr. stated interferon would probably stop the 'C'. Dr. (basically an intern) said biopsy is risky due to scarring/blood count(platelates),and doesn't know what stage liver is in.I feel great, but want to be healthy,etc.Dr. referred me to a liv specialist. Followed up & was told one couldn't get interferon/xplant w/o ins. Spoke w/ another Dr. and was told to ask the interferon co. (Peg) if there was an asst. plan avail. So...No insurance means no treatment?? Do I have to be "crazy", or a 5150 to get disability ins.?? and finally, does the interferon/ribo make you lose facial hair as well as thinning hair?
