I have a question about the LFT's. I haven't gotten my results back from the labs I had drawn yesterday yet. The doctor's office no longer calls back normal results so I keep praying the phone doesn't ring - no news is good news, right? Of course, it could just mean they haven't gotten the results back yet. SIGH!
Last time, about 3 months ago, all my LFT's were in the normal ranges except my AST and ALT. Both of them had gone down about 40 points from the previous lab test which was about 3 weeks prior. Does anyone know what it means if the ALT and AST decrease or even go back to normal range and if the rest of the LFT numbers are normal?
Does that mean you don't have cirrhosis or does it only mean that the condition has stabilized for the time being, either slowed or halted in progression? Or does it mean anything at all? Maybe it just means that my fatty liver is responding to my diet and weight loss (46 pounds lost since June)?
Also, my left arm hasn't itched much for the last 3 days, although last week the underside of that arm was itching like mad. Not sure what that means either. I just wanna feel GOOD again. We all do, right!? Feeling crappy sucks!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The doctor made a follow up appointment for me in 4 weeks to see how I'm doing on the Cymbalta (he gave me samples to try yesterday). I guess he'll decide if I need any further testing or if he's satisfied that my fatty liver is responding to weight loss and diabetes control for the time being. Does this sound right to you guys? I think I trust your expertise more than I do the doctor's. :)
