I just had emergency kidney stone surgery this past Monday. I have been taking oxycodone from a pain management doctor for 3 years now for MS. When I went for this emergency surgery, I told them I take this medicine and have a high pain med tolerance. They treated me like a drug addict and also did not give me enough meds and I was in horrible pain. This is really scaring me because I have MS, chronic kidney stones, and also a ruptured disk in my back- I will most certainly need another surgery and I most certainly need my daily pain med just to survive and function in my life. I am worried that the next time I need surgery, I will not be given enough pain meds again. I am also very insulted to be treated like a druggie. What do you do about surgeries? I am very upset and worried about future pain and also feeling like people look down upon me for this.
