OK I'm not sure if this has been on the discussion board before but if should be again. The National Foundation for the Treatment of pain is a great website that wants Dr. and surgeons to start treating pain patients with respect and to medicate us properly and to not put a stigma on us and our medications. Dr's are scared to treat us and are scared to prescribe to us and surgeons don't even have a clue when it comes to pain. i just had surgery and they couldn't get my pain right out of surgery under control because what they were giving me was what I normally take everyday and they didn't know why i was crying in pain. This is ridiculous and Dr's and sergeons need to get better educated about chronic pain and pain suffering patients, it is not in our heads. Please check out the website and pass it on.
