For years I have lived in pain I am a 41 year old nurse who has been advised not to go back to floor nursing until the docs can come up with a diagnosis for my pain. I am now a telephonic educator in a nursing department. I have been on Oxycontin and Roxicodone for >1 year and now the doctor has changed me to Opana and Roxicodone but this combo does not work well either. I am not taking the meds right trying to control the pain but will not allow the pain management doc to increase meds and have not told him that I am not taking the meds right because I do not want him to think I am abusing the medication. I have been told I may have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Some immune system Problem, A possible malignancy, Osteoarthritis...no one can give me an answer I have children and a husband and this is really hurting the quality time I spend with them.Any comments from anyone?
