dont feel bad. i understand what u go threw. im in pain every single day. all day. if she know what u go threw she should understand.

I am sure if you were open and shared with her how you feel when you wake she will handle it better then if you try to keep it hidden. Those who do not live it cannot understand how we feel. I admit before I lived it everyday I could not honestly say I knew how someone felt. Plus I think men try harder to keep it to themselves. I might be wrong,come men jump in and help me on this one.But if you are open it might help her to know its not her. Just my thoughts on it.

The only y advice has already been given. Be patient and explain you need a little time first thing in the am to stretch and uncramp.

My husband has a lot of pain he deals with on a daily basis and he is always sleep deprived. But he is so ticklish that I can barely touch him some days. Also he can get angry when he is sleeping and hit out at me.

But he touches me all the time even in his sleep. At times it is funny, he will stroke the dog, and then touch me and he will be completely asleep.

for years i would wake up screaming or if someone would wake me i would yell at them not even knowing i was doing it the pain was so bad and it greatly disturbed my sleep. I would try to google something like sleep and chronic pain get a print out and let her read this has been an effective way for my husband to begin to understand my issues because its fact not emotion

Have you explained the reason to her? She might not htink of it on her own, but if you tell her, she would understand, maybe. Good luck.

My husband says that when I got "honest" about the amount of pain that I was having....he felt relieved because he thought my "crankiness" had something to do with him.

I don't sit around and moan and groan but I let him know that I hurt!

He slides me a break every time!

I understand exactly what your saying, just reassure her it's the pain, and not her. Maybe that will help. Some days just touching my skin hurts, my hair hurts, and I just don't want to be touched.

You know how people who have been abused (physically) sometimes will jump for no reason when you make a sudden move.........that's how I am, because the pain of being touched is that bad at times. Maybe let her read this and see that it is just not you???? God Bless.
