I beat chronic pain. There's all kinds of causes for pain, and I'm sure what helped me won't help everyone, but I'm even more sure that many people can find relief the same way I did, addressing the cause of the symptoms. It took me 12 years to come to understand the cause of my pain, and it wasn't what they were treating.
I gave up for 2 years. I was on morphine, but the dose wasn't high enough. I had hope before that, and fortunately, had some hope left after those 2 years when a higher dose contributed to a pseudo-recovery. I understand how it feels to resign yourself to accepting it, and I furthermore feel great compassion for those living with these insideous, life-robbing pain syndromes.
My pain lasted for 12 years, 1 month and 2 weeks.
My pain began with a physical cause, but no doctor in those 12 years ever really examined how it came to be, and therein were the clues that led me to Neuro-Cranial Restructuring, or ncr which eradicated 95% of my pain in 4 days.
I had my first NCR procedure in October 06, and haven't needed pain meds since, but had some remaining. I underwent a 2nd series of NCR 2 weeks ago, and am again profoundly improved.
I'm not going to repeat it all here, it's in my page, journal and remarks. NCR is real in it's power to correct painful conditions of the head and spine, and since 80% of your nervous system is in your head, I bet it can improve numerous other conditions.
I've had the pleasure of seeing 2 other people dramatically improved by the same procedure after they got wind of how much I was helped.
My chronic pain was intensely destructive and completely invisible other than it's effects on me. Physically, i looked fine, perfect, but my pain was constant, every single second of those 12+ years.
I sure would like to help others to find ncr.. see ncrdoctors.com, its the real mccoy.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Can you explain to me what exactly ' NCR' is, is it surgery ? What specialty in the medical field does one practice 'NCR'? How many people are been treated ,or successful went thru 'NCR' studies in the US? What would the theory be and what are the benefits for the patient who has an interest in 'NCR'and the success rate?
I guess 1st ,I anxiously await your response before I ponder my thoughts and questions.
My interest in this formulation of 'NCR' is obviously because I dig learning and Im a nosey chic.

NCR is not surgery. It's actually an extension of cranial-sacral therapy, but it's cranial-sacral on steroids. The first doctor I saw, in Miami, was Naturapthic N.D. & D.C. It's practiced by chiropractors who specialize. It's been around over 15 years and is based on a procedure developed in the 30's. All that is on the site of Dr Howell, who developed it (www.ncrdoctors.com).
My first procedure, the one that so drastically reduced my symptoms, consisted of 4 office visits of 1/2 hour a day over 4 days. It's so simple: They lubricate and insert a small balloon strategically, based on measurements of balance and symmetry, into one of 6 sinus cavities, then inflate for 1-2 seconds, which causes an adjustment by measured force against the sphenoid bone, which if you look it up is a bat-wing shaped bone that stretches from ear to ear and makes contact with internal bones of the cranium. This causes a powerful release of locked up areas and bones in the head, allowing the body and it's connective tissues to naturally realign these bones to a more symmetrical shape. It's basically a chiropractic adjustment to the inside of the skull where 80% of the nervous system lives. My treatment consisted of 3 inflations a day and only took 1/2 hour after which I hopped in my car and drove away.
The very first day, my vision, which had been blurry cleared up in a stunning way. My gait, which was, how do i say.. burdened not to a great extent, but noticably to me. (I'd never mentioned it to anyone), suddenly and permanently became easy.. I felt i was walking like i was back in high school. Totally unexpected. The remainder of the 4 days released an area of my skull, lower, right rear, that had felt like a vise was clamped down hard enough to press in on my brain. This was the debilitating symptom that previously was only relieved by morphine or other opioid medication. I and my doctors always focused on my neck, but we had it backwards. When the skull impingement was released, the neck pain reduced significanly and today it's still improving.
I'm not a doctor and can't name all the bones inside your head, but I experienced this in a dramatic way as almost overnight relief. In terms of how the pain came to be, it makes it all fit together.
The doctor I saw in Miami has been practicing this for ten years and alone has seen thousands of patients. The new doc I saw two weeks ago, selected simply becuase he was much closer, also, made a big dent in the 5% remaining. I experienced improvements to my very ability to think and concentrate and concieve.
Before I underwent NCR I searched the internet for side-effects or negative information and found only one case and it was only reported by sites that had a bias, and they all reported the very same case. I determined for myself that if it was dangerous.. there would be more. In practice, it feels like, maybe having a short burst from a water hose up your nose, but it's over in a second and so powerfully relieving. This was 7 months ago. NCR provides cumulative, permanent corrective physical action. These docs fix people and have unique ways to find new patients rather than having the same come back over and over.
I was in such pain that after the 21 months it took to get off morphine prior to the procedure I slept 4 hours every 3rd night, with 0 sleep in the 2 nights in between. that was the pattern. I hadn't slept in 30 hours when I left for the 6+ hour drive to miami. I joined DS after the procedure. I wouldn't be here now if I was in that level of pain.
Sorry such a long response. I would like to see studies of NCR myself, but there seem to be politics involved in a treatment that provides permanent relief in a culture socked into a drug for everything. My ability to concentrate, concieve and create is coming back like water after drought-relieving rains. How do you explain something this invisible. To me it's starkly obvious and if you search for Neuro-Cranial Restructuring or NeuroCranial restructuring on the Internet, you'll find case after case where patients report this kind of relief.
Thanks for digging learning and being a nosy chic. When I saw NCR i somehow knew i finally found something that might work and it did beyond my wildest dreams and I hope, sometimes, to see someone on DS report similar results.
I am glad you found some relief.
