1.No Pain At all 1. See a Dr. Pain
2.Dull Occassional Ache2. Aggrevaiting Steady
3.See A Dr. Pain 3. MedicationNOTWorking
4.Need Medication Pain 4. Limits daily activity
5.Aggrevating Steady 5. Rude awaking in pain
6.Limiting Activity 6. Want to scream pain
7.Waking You Up Pain 7. Can't sit still pain
8.Can't sit still pain 8. 2hrs to get up pain
9.Shaking & Crying 9. Shaking and Crying
10.After Incision Surgery10. After Surgery Pain
Now first #10 was after say gall bladder surgery while the second #10 is after open heart surgery.
I just can't make sense of the Dr. pain scale when all I have to compare it to is what I have already experienced in life.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. My worst was my neck surgery so I figure from that pain as to how I'm feeling on a day to day basis. You just go by your own experience like you said to rate your own pain. I think the scale is holey. Pain is pain but that's just my opinion.
